Christmas Dance 2011

Last night, Jayne went to the Christmas dance at Woods Cross with Sean Barton. She sparkled and shined with this cute sparkly dress and bright red lipstick. Here are some photos of her and Sean. Also with Kaitie Jowers and Nicholas Castillo. Sarah also stopped by while Jayne was getting by, and she and Jayne both put on the full Russian (bright red lipstick!) in honor of Grandma.

Athlete of the Week honors....it's a tie!

Two athletes in the family had a big week and the award goes to both Rin and Matthew.

First, Rin is on the Bountiful High Swim team. She's had several meets and is causing waves in all her events. Jayne caught this awesome footage of Rin's 50 yd. freestyle. Watch for her in the farthest lane from the camera.

You'll find it on the family facebook page here:

Unless you're living in a foreign country or something, wait....you say the big news has made it's way to both London and Russia?....well, then you've heard about Matthew's awesome touchdown pass. For those who couldn't see it live, here is a link.

Naomi Hazel Brice Turns Five!!!

John and I surprised Naomi with a visit to Cincinnati on her birthday. She reacted just as we had hoped, with lots of screaming and excitement. Sage also reacted exactly as predicted, by hiding behind Matt's legs for the first hour we were there. She eventually warmed up and really loved playing with us.

Now that Naomi has moved on to "Lightly Row," Sage has picked up the piano action and has learned exactly two notes of "Twinkle." Prodigy? Maybe.

Naomi playing her first two handed piece, "Lightly Row," where both hands are playing different notes and rhythms. Matt is helping Naomi not look at her hands when she plays. Look at her great form.

I love this mother/daughter photo. I love Annie!

This is Naomi's best friend, Skyler. They are in the same kindergarten class.

This was the world's sturdiest piƱata. I think each child got 2-3 hits before someone finally made a crack. Then Matt took pity on all the kids by tearing it open and shaking it around.

The climbing toy in their backyard was a *huge* hit during the party. The girls are out there all the time.

The pre-party bouncy toy testers.

If one cake is good, two cakes is better.

Some of the 23 kids who were at the party, patiently waiting for their piece of the scary white Halloween cat birthday cake.

After church we went to visit Annie at the hospital. Cutest Doctor at Cincinnati Children's Hospital!

Annie is so important she wears FOUR beepers!

Sage doing what Sage does best--running around being cute.

This was a great visit and we can't wait to go back soon! xoxo

Naomi turns 5 and learns to ride a bike

Many more photos to come of Naomi's 5th birthday, but this is a teaser....Naomi got a bike for her birthday and we all took bets as to how long it would take her to learn to ride it. I don't think any of us predicted she'd be up and riding, no training wheels, within 20 minutes of her first hop on the bike. Pretty amazing!

bet you didn't know how tough one person can be

So this actually didn't hurt that bad but it looks pretty sweet or epic as the boys like to say...and to answer Bryan's question from McCall..yes this was my running leg haha

Fall 2011

Lots of things have been happening this Fall.....to begin with, have we mentioned there's a WEDDING coming up? Well, mark December 17 on your calendars! MaryBeth and Matthew are involved in all things wedding and a beautiful bridal shower was hosted by Pat Edwards and Ann Cannon on Saturday afternoon. MaryBeth's parents and sisters were in town and able to attend which was a real treat. Pat focused on traditions and served game day stew and her famous chocolate chip bundt cake. MaryBeth had several friends and roommates come and it was fun to celebrate this exciting event together!

MaryBeth opening a cute black and white polka-dot ceramic baking dish from Cecilee....kitchen color theme is black, silver and accents of red.

Cute ladies!

Two of MaryBeth's friends and her sister Meeghan. Can you tell who is who? So sad I didn't get more photos at this event, but just picture a darling and delightful Mom, MaryAnn, in this photo as well.

Gentlemen happily relegated to the family room included Mark, a family friend, LaVell, and Mark, MaryBeth's dad.

Jayne taking a bow after the All-State Choir concert at the Tabernacle. A gold star to anyone who can find her. Hint: she is smiling! Mack Wilberg conducted the choir and it was a thrill to hear 750 students singing his arrangement of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing." Wow!!

Jayne performing with the Dance Company at halftime of the Homecoming football game. Of course WX won and it was a great week of festivities. The back of these sweatshirts has a giant bedazzled WX--so cute!

Jayne ran in the Region XC meet and had her best race of the season. This was her last XC race in all of high school. Kind of sad, kind of happy :)

Beata's Book 3 Recital!

Beata was amazing tonight as she dazzled a full house for her graduation from Suzuki Book 3 Recital. Her memorization was flawless and her musical interpretation was so artistic. We think she is swell! Congratulations Beata!

Becca Turns 10!!!

In honor of the 10th anniversary of Becca Goldrup's birthday, we are posting a few of our favorite photos of her through the years. We love you Becca and hope you have the best birthday ever!!!!

Sierra and Jeremy are getting married!

Tonight was a special bridal shower celebrating the upcoming wedding of Sierra Wagstaff and Jeremy Klein!

Family and friends gathered at the Wagstaff home where Michelle and others had prepared a delicious feast. Notice Aunt Marie's famous potato salad there...yummy!

Bailey, famous for her cupcakes, delighted everyone with her lemon concoction made with cream cheese and sour cream. So delicious.

It's was so fun to see these Wagstaff cousins tonight. I had a great time and haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Thanks to all the cousins getting married this year (Derek, Sierra, Matthew) we've had a chance to see each more more than usual which is such a treat. Love you all.
xoxo

Jumping for Joy in London

We had a great time in London with the Goldies! The trip can basically be summarized as a series of opportunities to jump in front of significant historical sites :)

The Circus at Bath

Bodleian Library at Oxford University

St. Paul's Cathedral

Primrose Hill--London in the background

Stonehenge

Guard inside Windsor Castle

American School in London

Trafalgar Square (where have all the pigeons gone?)

More photos to come when it's not 1:49 am. xoxo

McCall....oh baby oh baby

McCall was tons of fun this year. We sadly missed the Goldies and our grandparents but we tried to make due. As per tradition there were a LOT of crafts which included mocassin making, pom pom frames, painting frames, modge podge rocks, necklace making, love mugs, PVC pipe flutes, knitting, and of course boon dogle and friendship bracelet making. We watched three movies out on the outdoor movie, ate lots of ice cream, slept in our cute new pj's thank you to Becky, ate pizza from a new place we found in town, and got to know and love Matthew's girlfriend MaryBeth. The boys played a lot of lacrosse and all the usual water activities like tubing, skiing, paddle boards, jet skiis, wakeboarding, etc. It was a fun packed week and we were all very sad to leave. Can't wait for next year. Start thinking of new fun crafts because it's never too early.

Just looked up the word adorable in the dictionary and this is the picture that showed up as the definition.

Everybody got up skiing including Liza and Camille. It was verrrrry exciting!

Family photo with MB included. Fun fun.

The high pony became Buzz's signature hair-do and it's easy to see why because she looks so cute!

Though their high schools are rivals, Jayne and Rin have realized that being a wildcat or brave is nothing compared to being a Price. Inspiring.

On our way to ice cream alley with our two dollar bills in hand and moccasins on our feet. Thank you grandma and grandpa for the ice cream money!!

These McCall shower pictures never get old.

For one of the crafts we each picked another person's name in the family and then we painted a frame for that person. It was fun to see how everybody decorated each other's frames.

Hank (aka Franklin D to Gary) caught these fish with the help of our man Gary. Hank apparently has quite the gift for catching fish and some people ate them at breakfast and said they were really quite tasty.

This was a crazy trio. These three (especially MaryBeth were out of control tubers going fast and jumping from tube to tube)

Doing crafts.

The big and the....getting big

This year we had a new tube and we had tube wars. It was seriously so much fun!

Sunny worked so hard on her moccasins. While everybody else complained Sunny just worked in the corner weaving through her green thread pretty much all by herself. Her moccasins turned out so cute because she put some beads on the tassles at the end to top it off.

Paddle boats this year were used more as a means of wrestling and pushing each other off then actually paddling anywhere. Bryan probably got pushed off by Matthew right after this picture was taken.

Proof of the paddle boat wars. Jayne pushed Boon and he received this battle wound.

Nobody was more in love with Liza than Hank. He followed her everywhere and they played together for HOURS.

The three boys sporting off the cool new tube. You can't fall off this tube as easily but you get sprayed a lot more with water. Let's just say that the moms were confident enough in the stability of this tube they took a ride. There was a lot of screaming.
